Basically, anyone who is a young, educated, and successful businessman with a taste for high end luxury items can be classified as a yuppie. A close stereotype would be the "Prep", unlike the Yuppie, "Preps" only often appear to be successful. Along with some minor differences in dress codes, (ie. "Preps" wear Polo's and shorts, while Yuppies mostly dress in high-end suites) they are very similar. After that explanation, I don't see why you should mold your personal taste just to fit into a sub-group. Yuppies, just like everyone else, have their own unique taste in music, and sports. "Yuppie" stands for "Young Urban Professional", and it only defines the occupational aspect for an individual. There is no definition as to which genres of music define you as Yuppie, and which sport is only enjoyed by them. A good start to being a Yuppie, would be to start spelling like a Yuppie, proper punctuation and grammar is a must to look professional. Good luck in your journey, business and style-wise.
